(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Sunday February 02, 2014 at 3:00 pm officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. check on Gelert Road in the Municipality of Dysart et al, Ontario. Officers stopped a 1999 Cavalier vehicle at the check area and it was revealed that the driver was unlicenced. As a result of the investigation, Cory WALTERS age 28 of Dysart et al Ontario had his vehicle impounded for 45 days and was charged with the following offences:
Drive While Disqualified
Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
Drive While Under Suspension
Use Unauthorized Plates
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden Ontario on March 05, 2014.
