Driver Facing Impaired Charge – JONES

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On July 1, 2019, at approximately 1:40 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol and conducted a traffic stop on Cromarty Drive, in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. The officer attempted to arrest the driver who then fled from police. The OPP canine unit attended the scene and assisted with locating and arresting the suspect.

As a result of the police investigation, Peter JONES, 46-year-old of London, Ontario was charged with the following offences, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC);

Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs; and with

Resist peace officer

They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in London, Ontario on August 13, 2019.
