(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment continues to investigate a motor vehicle collision at a Highway (Hwy) #3, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Saturday July 4th, 2015 at approximately 10:00 pm Emergency Services were called to the intersection of Hwy #3 and Haldimand County Road #20 for a single motor vehicle rollover collision with injuries.
Upon arrival Police observed a white 2003 Chev pickup truck on its side in a business parking lot at the intersection and located the injured male driver outside the vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck identified as 50 year old Kevin LOVEGROVE of Haldimand County, ON received emergency medical aid for life altering injuries from Haldimand County paramedics before being transported to an area hospital and was then transported by Air Ambulance to a Hamilton trauma centre for treatment.
Investigation has thus far revealed that the pickup truck was travelling along Hwy #3 approaching the intersection of Haldimand Road #20 when for unknown reasons it left the travelled portion of the road and rolled over ejecting the driver.
Hwy #3 was closed for several hours to allow for investigation.
