Driver Crossed At Double Yellow – One Sent To Hospital Heavy Fog

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday January 11, 2013, at 11:47 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on Hwy. 7/8 near the Forest Road intersection, east of Little Lakes.

Investigation revealed that an east bound Honda Sedan operated by a fifty year old male driver from Stratford, crossed the double yellow centre lines entering the west bound lane. The Honda struck the side of a west bound Dodge pickup truck which was operated by a 48 year old female from the Township of Perth East.

The collision resulted extensive damage to both vehicles and debris being scattered over a large section of roadway. The driver of the Honda was transported to Stratford General Hospital with minor injuries.

Fog was extremely thick and heavy at the time of the collision.
