(HALIBURTON, ON) – Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. check on December 17, 2013 at County Road 121 and County Road 1 in the Township of Minden Hills Ontario. Officers stopped a vehicle in the check area and as a result of an investigation; the driver was arrested for possession of controlled substance. Officers discovered approximately 1 kg of marihuana in the vehicle. Justin MCKELVEY age 25 from Minden Hills Ontario is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden Ontario on February 05, 2014.
