(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 4, 2016, just after 2:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a delivery truck that had gone into the ditch on Highway 401 eastbound near Victoria Road.
Upon further investigation, officers learned that the driver had missed the exit at Victoria Road. The driver stopped on the shoulder and while attempting to reverse the truck back to the exit, the truck went into the ditch.
The male driver, 60-year-old Michel MILLER, from Ingersoll, has been charged with Backing On Shoulder – Divided Highway, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
No injuries were reported.
