Driver Charged Following Collision On Bruce Road 13

(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) – On July 2, 2017 at approximately 5:25 p.m., Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), together with Bruce County Emergency Services (EMS) and Saugeen Fire Department, responded to a serious motor vehicle collision between two vehicles, a 2013 Hyundai and a 2015 Jeep on Bruce Road 13, Saugeen First Nation, Bruce County.

Investigation revealed the Hyundai was travelling southbound on Bruce Road 13 when it crossed the centre line into the path of the Jeep which was travelling northbound.

The driver of the Jeep, a 62-year old woman from Burlington, Ontario, was transported to hospital with major non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Hyundai, a 35-year old woman from Mississauga, Ontario, was transported to a London hospital with major, non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, 35-year old Vijayarangan SUBBIAN, of Mississauga, Ontario was transported to hospital with minor injuries and released. He was charged with Fail to Share Half the Roadway under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
