(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver facing two Highway Traffic Act related offences.
On January 13, 2014 an OPP officer was on patrol on Highway 35 near Gray Road and observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was travelling at 110 km/h in an 80 km/h zone and was subsequently stopped by the officer. Further investigation revealed that the driver was suspended from driving.
As a result of the investigation Rose WARREN, 37 years of age, of Oshawa, was charged with speeding and driving while suspended.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on February 11, 2014.
