DRINKING DRIVER CAUGHT TRYING TO AVOID RIDE CHECK

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were conducting RIDE spot checks on the Cockshutt Road.

At approximately 2:55 a.m. Wednesday December 18th, 2013, officers were on the Cockshutt Road conducting a RIDE spot check, when the officers observed a vehicle attempted to avoid the check. The officers stopped the vehicle and while talking to the male driver the officer could smell alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver was given the Roadside Screening Test and as result of the test he was transported to the County of Brant OPP detachment for Intoxilyzer Tests.

Brett PASINEK 22 years of age from Norfolk County is facing the following Criminal charge

Drive over 80 milligrams

The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on January 24th, 2014 to answer to the charge.
