Drinking Driver Caught

(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Thursday, July 23, 2015 at approximately 10:36 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a possible impaired driver.

Police stopped the suspect vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Caliber, on Hwy. 26 at Ridge Rd., in the Municipality of Meaford. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. He was given a road side breath test which registered in the “warn” range.

The 39-year old driver from Meaford was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension. The vehicle was towed.

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Grey County OPP thank those who don’t drink and drive and thank all the concerned citizens who assist police in keeping our roads safe by reporting possible impaired drivers.
