(HALIBURTON, ON) – On January 24, 2014 officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Highway 35 at Twelve Mile Lake in the Township of Minden Hills, Ontario. The male driver was arrested and transported to the OPP detachment where he provided a sample of his breath. Douglas SLAUNWHITE age 71 of Essa Township, Ontario was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood also referred to as “Over 80â€Â. The accused’s drivers licence is suspended for a period of 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 7 days. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden Ontario on March 05, 2014.
