(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Thursday November 22, 2012 at approximately 10:26pm, members of the County of Wellington OPP were conducting RIDE spot checks on Wellington Road 34 east of Townline Road, Pilkington Township. At this time and location, while officers were speaking with the driver of a 2003 Mitsubishi, they detected the odour of freshly burnt marijuana. The driver turned over a small quantity of marijuana, at which time he was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle turned up an additional small quantity of marijuana.
Douglas Moorhouse age 29 of Cambridge was charged with Possession of Marijuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a Guelph court date of January 4, 2013 to answer to the charge.
