Double Drunk Driver Taken Off The Streets

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a possible impaired driver stopped in front of a residence on Willow Ridge Road on July 17, 2015 at approximately 10:10 p.m.

Police located the occupants of the blue GMC pickup truck at the scene, and determined the driver had been drinking alcohol. The male was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, 29-year-old Jermaine ATATISE, from Fort Frances, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle, and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on September 1, 2015.
