(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recently received complaints regarding person’s going door to door representing themselves as City of Quinte West employees.
Residents have advised police that the sales person representing the city are attempting to enter homes in order to install a filter on the water pipe. The OPP have confirmed with the city that they do not have employees going door to door to inspect water pipes. If anyone comes to your home representing themselves as a city employee and does not have the proper identification, contact the OPP.
Person’s wanting that want to solicit in the City of Quinte West must register with and get approval from City Hall at 7 Creswell Drive, Trenton.
