(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A male driver from Goderich is facing a one week driver’s licence suspension and a vehicle impoundment for seven days following a traffic stop early this morning. At approximately 3:15 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Toyota Corolla speeding on Huron Road near Pondsview Road east of Goderich. The officer confirmed his observations with a RADAR device and measured the speed of the vehicle at a speed of 131 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A traffic stop was completed and the driver was subsequently charged. Donald MCPHEE, 53, from Goderich has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for the week. He has a court appearance scheduled for January 6, 2015 at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich.
