DOMESTIC INCIDENT LEADS TO MULTIPLE CHARGES

(Selwyn Twp., ON) – On the evening of Thursday, August 29, 2013 officers from the Peterborough County OPP received a report of a domestic disturbance at a chip truck on Ward Street.

Upon arriving at the business officers learned that The 34 year old female suspect and a 43 year old male victim had been involved in a short domestic relationship that had recently ended.

On Thursday, August 29 2013 the female had attended the male’s place of employment and began disrupting his place of business, by shouting and refusing to leave his business the suspect then stole his keys and continued to cause a disturbance at the address until OPP officers arrived.

The female continued to act out when police attended and kicked one of the officers while she was being arrested. Once arrested the female was found to have a number of Controlled substances in her possession.

As a result of the investigation a 34 year old female resident of Hiawatha First Nations has been arrested and charged with; Theft Under $5000, Causing a Disturbance, Assault Peace Officer, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

She has been held for a Bail Hearing in Peterborough Provincial Courts on Friday 30 August 2013.
