Domestic – Forcible Confinement, Bodily Harm, Threats, Assault

(Prince Edward County, ON) On August 18, 2013 at 8:29am a man had attended the Ontario Provincial Police—Prince Edward County detachment reporting a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the complainant himself had assaulted his wife.

A 35-year old Prince Edward County man has been charged with the following offences:

Forcible Confinement, contrary to Section 279(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Bodily Harm: Overcoming Resistance To Commission of Offence, contrary to Section 246(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Uttering Threats, contrary to Section 264.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Assault, contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody on a promise to appear and undertaking with a court date of September 04, 2013 in Picton, ON.
