(Tweed, ON) – On February 3, 2014 at 11:30 p.m. Central Hastings O.P.P. responded to a domestic dispute on Sherry Road in the Municipality of Tweed. The investigation revealed that during an argument the accused pushed his common-law spouse, threw her to the floor and prevented her from accessing the telephone to call for assistance.
Officers located the accused, a 37 year old Tweed, ON man hiding behind a snowbank in a neighbouring yard. He was arrested and charged with Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
