A female attended the station on this date to report domestic violence that occurred against her over the past few months by her husband. The victim stated that on todays date her husband was intoxicated and started arguing with her at which time she advised him that their marraige was over. Then he followed her upstairs into the bathroom area. The male grabbed the female and punched her several times in the face then attempt to choke her with the hair dryer cord. The female was able to break free and drove to a friends place who brought her to the station. The vicitm stated that on two other occassions the male assaulted her leaving marks.
The female was transported to her residence where the 47 yr old Barrie male was arrested and charged with assault X 3 and choking. The male was held for a bail hearing.
