DOMESTIC ASSAULT CHARGES ON HIGHWAY 401

(BRIGHTON, ON) – On September 19, 2014 at about 3pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 9-1-1 call from the occupant of a car travelling through the Brighton area on Highway 401. It was later determined that a married couple from the Caledon area were involved in an argument which resulted in the woman throwing coffee at her husband while he was driving.

Both persons attended the Brighton OPP detachment where a 38 year old female was subsequently arrested for domestic assault. She was later released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brighton on October 7, 2014.

The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
