Police received a call to an east end residence for a domestic assault that had just occurred. When officers arrived they were met by a female who had been punched in the face by her boyfriend during an arguement.
After the assault occurred, the 37 year old Barrie male continued his rage by smashing the walls and cupboards within the residence.
Police arrested the male for assault and mischief. He was taken to the station and on arrival police learned that he had consumed an unknown quantity of prescription drugs. The male required medical attention and was taken to Royal Victoria Medical Health Centre for assessment.
