On March 29th at approx. 10:20 a.m. Chatham-Kent Police responded to a reported Domestic assault. During the interview officers learned that the female victim was in an agreement with her boyfriend regarding a medical issue. When the victim attempted to leave the residence the accused refused to let her leave. The victim persisted in wanting to leave and as she did so the accused punching her in the side of the face as she fled the residence. A 24 year old Chatham man was arrested for several offences including Assault and Forcible Confinement.
