Barrie Police were called to an Anne St residence for a female reporting an assault by her boyfriend.
Police arrived and found the victim had struck several times by the suspect who left the residence after being told Police were called.
The victim attended Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment of minor injuries then contacted Barrie Police.
Police found several holes in walls and overturned furniture.
Police located a 38 year old male in a nearby apartment and arrested him for domestic assault and mischief under $5000.
He was transported to the Barrie Police Service and held for a bail hearing.
