(Bancroft, Ontario) – On March 22nd 2015, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a domestic disturbance on Highway 62 in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Investigation into the incident revealed that an adult female had been physically assaulted by and adult male.
A 28 year old male of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands was arrested and has been charged with assault. He was released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 14th of April 2015.
This is a domestic investigation and the identity of the person charged will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
