On April 21st Barrie Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in central Barrie. Police determined that the dispute was verbal only, but observed that the female involved had pre-existing injuries. Investigation revealed that over the weekend the pair had been fighting and that the male party had assaulted the female at that time causing injuries. The male also damaged the female’s cell phone. A 36 year old Barrie male was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and mischief under $5000. He was held pending a bail hearing.
