Ditched Pickup Truck On Hwy 21 Leads To Impaired Charge – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 2, 2017 at approximately 2:35 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 21 west of Grey Rd. 18 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Upon police arrival, the driver of the vehicle, a 2005 GMC Sierra pick-up truck, showed signs of impairment by alcohol. He was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.

54-year old John Allan RAE, of Guelph, Ontario was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle – alcohol and over 80 mg.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on February 16, 2017.

There were no injuries reported.
