(OTTAWA, ON) – On July 28, 2015, The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 417 eastbound near the Woodroffe Avenue overpass.
At approximately 10:31 am, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving four vehicles. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that one of the involved drivers was distracted with an electronic communications device.
Two drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, the female driver, 24 year old Lucille BENJANCU of Ottawa, is charged with:
Careless Driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.
