Barrie Police investigated an incident of an ex-common law partner disobeying his Family Court Order that he had entered into back in June of 2013. The order stipulated conditions around contact with his ex-girlfriend. In June of this year and then again this September, the 23 year old was posting messages on Social Media as well as sending text messages which were particularly offensive and threatening in nature to her.
The accused was threatening to cause her physical harm and continuously harassing her. This contact was unprovoked and unwanted. The accused does not reside in Barrie and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The accused was arrested in the area of Shelburne and returned to Barrie where the warrant was executed for Disobeying the Court Order and Utter Threats. He was held pending a bail hearing on September 5th in answer to the charges before the courts.
