DIRT BIKE AND TRUCK COLLIDE – MALE AIRLIFTED

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – Just after 1:00 p.m. on November 9, 2014 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving an off-road motorcycle and a pick-up truck on the First Line near Side Road 15 in the Town of Erin.

Officers attended the scene along with Town of Erin Fire and Emergency Services and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Investigation revealed that an off-road motorcycle, being ridden by a 28 year old Town of Erin male collided with a northbound pick-up truck, after exiting a private driveway.

The male was transported by ORNG Air Ambulance to a Hamilton Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.

Charges are pending.
