Dillon LEGGE – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On November 27, 2016 at approximately 9:50 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) spot checks on South Line A in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Police stopped a vehicle that did not have a front plate displayed on it. The driver of the vehicle, a 1999 Dodge Durango, was found to have been drinking alcohol.

After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests, which he failed.

Twenty-four year old Dillon LEGGE of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 mgs. He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle – no currently validated permit and failing to display to plates under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on December 22, 2016
