(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County detachment would like to advise the public about obtaining Criminal Record Checks.

Criminal Record Checks are quite often requested for a variety of reasons. The most common are for employment purposes or for volunteering in the Community.

Those requiring a criminal record check and live in OPP jurisdictions can attend their local detachment with two pieces of identification and a letter of request from the Agency requiring a criminal record check.

There are fees for some criminal record checks, especially if it involves employment.

If you know that you do not have a criminal record, you may also provide a self-addressed, stamped envelop for more convenient return of your results.

If you have a criminal record, your results must be picked up in person.

Apply early, Criminal Record Checks may take some time to process. So the sooner you apply the sooner you will have results.
