At the 05August2014 North Huron council meeting, council found
themselves in an embarrassing situation again, but this time had no
easy out.
At the start of the 05August2014 North Huron council meeting there
was a presentation from our Auditor, and he disclosed that Council
has spent $482,000 fixing up Wingham Town Hall last year.
Council said it was such an important heritage building they had to
spend the money to protect our investment”. The majority of
the expense was for “scraping and painting” and repairing damage due
