Devon PARKES – Home Invasion, Robbery, Assault, Breach

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment have arrested and charged a 24-year-old male after police investigated a home invasion at a Queensway West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at approximately 7:43 p.m., police responded to the address after two (2) unknown males attended the residence and forcibly gained entry.

Investigation determined that two suspects attended the Queensway Motel and forcibly gained entry into a room located on the property. Once inside, the suspects displayed a weapon and subsequently assaulted the occupant of the room, causing minor injuries.

Both males then fled from the area in a motor vehicle in an unknown direction.

On Friday, October 2, 2015, the Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit with the assistance of the Norfolk County Street Crime Unit arrested and charged a male in connection with this incident.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2015 police arrested and charged 24-year-old Devon PARKES of Brantford, Ontario with the following offences.

Robbery with weapon

Break and enter

Assault with a weapon

Assault causing bodily harm

Fail to comply with probation order

He will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
