(Alfred-Plantagenet, ON) In the evening of Friday April 4th, 2014, at approximately
9:15 pm, Constable Mike Lavallée responded to the scene of a vehicle on fire on County Road 19 in Alfred-Plantagenet.
The Alfred-Plantagenet Fire Department responded to the fire. When the officer interviewed the driver of the vehicle he had reason to believe that the driver had consumed alcohol and that his blood alcohol concentration was above the permitted limit. The driver was consequently arrested for driving while having blood alcohol content above 80 mgs per 100ml of blood.
Consequently, Devin MCKENDRY (30 yrs) of Alfred-Plantagenet, ON, was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with section 253(1)(b) Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood.
He was later released on a promise to appear in court on April 16th, 2014 in L’Orignal.
