Derick BUCKINGHAM – Drive While Suspended, Overweight Vehicle

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – The same driver was charged by the same Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer with driving while under suspension twice in less than a month.

On the afternoon of February 22, 2017, a member of the OPP West Region (WR) Highway Safety Division (HSD) conducted a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) stop of a white GMC truck travelling eastbound on Road 64, in the Township of Zorra (Oxford County), Ontario.

As a result of the police investigation, the 46-year old male driver, Derick BUCKINGHAM, from London, Ontario, was charged with driving while under suspension, fail to accurately complete daily inspection report, and overweight vehicle – violate permit by 350 kgs, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

On the afternoon of March 16, 2017, the same OPP officer observed the same individual operating the same CMV westbound on Dundas Street East, in the City of London (Middlesex County), Ontario.

A traffic stop was conducted and the male was placed under arrest. He was charged with driving while under suspension contrary to the HTA and the CMV was seized and impounded.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the respective County courts to answer the charges.
