(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On August 22, 2016 at approximately 4:35 p.m. members from the Leamington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Essex County Road 37, Leamington, Ontario.
Officers arrived to find a smoking grey Ford van, occupied by a lone male, deep in the ditch, facing Northbound on the West side of the road.
The driver sustained minor injuries and having exhibited signs of impairment, was arrested at the scene.
Dennis MALOTT, age 62 of Leamington, Ontario will appear in a Leamington Court on September 29, 2016, charged with Driving While Ability Impaired By Alcohol and Exceed 80 Milligrams Alcohol Content.
