(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – The Crime Unit of the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged a local man as a result of an historical sexual assault investigation. The incidents have been reported to have occurred between 1984 and 1990 both within the Town of Lindsay and rural areas in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
On March 9, 2016, 50 year old Dennis COPPINS of Lindsay, was arrested and held for a bail hearing on over 30 charges relating to five victims.
UPDATE
Today the accused was arrested on a further 4 sexual offences relating to an additional victim. He is scheduled to appear in bail court this morning.
