Deceased Identified In Head On Collision

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On July 25, 2016, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Southwest Middlesex Fire Department, and Middlesex London Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a two vehicle head-on collision, which occurred at approximately 2:21 p.m.

A black Ford car travelling westbound, and a silver Ford sport utility vehicle (SUV) travelling eastbound, collided in the eastbound lane of Glendon Drive, west of Thames Road.

The driver, and lone occupant, of the car, a 52-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Monica KIMBLE, from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario.

The driver of the SUV, a 66-year-old female from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to hospital, where she remains, currently listed in fair condition. Her passenger, a 65-year-old male from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported by Ornge to hospital, where he remains, currently listed in critical condition.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Glendon Drive was closed between Thames Road and McArthur Road, until approximately 7:30 p.m.

This incident is remains under investigation.
