(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford County Detachment is currently investigating an incident on Canning Road in Blandford Blenheim Township.
On Saturday, August 6, 2016 at approximately 9:35 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident reporting a suspicious vehicle that was parked on the side of the roadway.
Officers attended the area and located the vehicle discovering an unresponsive female.
The coroner attended the scene and pronounced the female deceased.
On Tuesday, August 9, 2016 a post-mortem was conducted at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto. As a result police are treating this death as suspicious.
Detectives from the West Region Crime Unit are continuing to investigate this incident under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Randy Wright of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
The investigation is continuing.
