(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On Thursday August 22, 2013 at 12:46 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Glencoe Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to an occurrence on Main Street at Mill Street located in Glencoe, ON.
As a result of an incident involving a motor vehicle and a moped two adult females were transported to Four Counties Hospital for medical care. Police have confirmed that one female has died as result of her injuries and the second female is being treated for serious injuries. The names of both female parties are being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
The Middlesex OPP Crime Unit has been deployed to the scene and is currently assisting with a criminal investigation. One adult male has been taken into police custody in relation to this incident.
Main Street between Mill Street and Symes Street, Glencoe has been closed to the public as members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team assist with the investigation.
