(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday July 01, 2010 at 12:04 p.m. Perth County OPP officers and the West Perth Fire Dept. were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash on Hwy. 8, west of Mitchell.
Investigation revealed that the west bound car operated by a 20 year old female from Waterloo swerved to miss a dead cat which was located in the westbound lane. The vehicle drove onto the north shoulder where the driver overcorrected and veered onto the eastbound lane. The driver immediately steered back to the westbound lane to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle. The driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch where the vehicle rolled several times.
All four occupants of the car received minor injuries and were transported to the Seaforth General Hospital where they were treated and released.
