Daytime Break and Enter

(Adjala-Tosorontio Township)- Members of the Nottawasaga detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a number of break and enter incidents in the north part of Adjala-Tosorontio Township. These break and enters have occurred during daylight hours. There have been seven entries reported to Police over the last month.

OPP are asking that residents be vigilant and report suspicious behaviour such as:

footprints into driveway when occupants are known to be away, activities around dwellings where it is known that owners are summer or occasional occupants only, strange vehicles in area, vehicles parked and unattended, and during this particular time of year snow mobiles that are unaccompanied. If possible, obtain a description including registration or if same to do so, a picture taken with a smart phone, for Police.

Also remember if you are going away on vacation or for an extended period of time, it is always a benefit to inform a neighbour of your absence.
