Dawna ETHERINGTON – Drunk Driving Snowmobile

(MOOSONEE, ON) – On January 31, 2015 the Moosonee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received an anonymous complaint that an intoxicated female was on a snowmobile on Bay Road in the Town of Moosonee.

Officers attended the area and located a female slumped over the handlebars of a running snowmobile. After a short interaction the female was arrested for being in care or control of a motor vehicle while her ability was impaired. She was transported the Moosonee Detachment to provide samples of her breath for analysis.

As a result of this investigation, Dawna ETHERINGTON (29) of Moosonee, has been charged with the following offences:

Care or control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Care or control of a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension. She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Moosonee on March 3, 2015.
