(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On December 20, 2014 at approximately 1:07 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling Hamilton Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre when an officer observed an erratic driver travelling westbound by Westchester Bourne.
The officer conducted a traffic stop. When police interacted with the driver it was apparent the driver had been drinking and was impaired. The driver was arrested. Further investigation revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana.
The driver was brought to a local police detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, the driver, David WOODCOCK, age 57 of London, Ontario has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 and Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marijuana Under 30 grams.
The accused was later released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom January 23, 2015 to speak to the charges.
