(LEEDS, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into a male that fled from police and was located a short time later.
On the 11th of January 2017 at about 10:00 P.M a member of the Ontario Provincial Police, while on routine patrol in Elgin, observed a driver violate a Highway Traffic Act offence. The vehicle fled after an attempt was made to stop it.
The driver, located a short time later south of Elgin, was arrested without incident.
David Patrick FREY, 45 years old, of Rideau Lakes faces charges of Stunt Driving, Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act, Impaired Driving and Flight from Police, Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released from custody pending future court dates to answer to his charges.
