David MIGNEAULT – Drunk Driving

(RED LAKE, ON) – Officers of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an adult male driver with impaired driving on October 18, 2015 at 1:38 a.m.

During routine patrol, officers stopped a 2012 motor vehicle on Highway 125 after observing the vehicle to be driving under the speed limit and weaving within its lane. As officers were speaking with the driver they had a suspicion of alcohol. The driver was administered and Approved Screening Device (ASD). Failing the roadside device the driver was arrested and transported to the Red Lake Detachment for tests.

David MIGNEAULT, age 39, of Baie-Comeau, Quebec, is charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Millilitres of Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code and Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code .

Migneault was released on a Promise to Appear in Red Lake Court on the 26th of November, 2015. The vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days and he was issued a mandatory drivers licence suspension.

The OPP reminds motorists that operating a vehicle under the influence of any amount of alcohol is dangerous and jeopardizes your own safety as well as the safety of others.
