(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment have charged a 35 year old male with several Criminal Code driving offences after being called to a Peel St, Jarvis, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Saturday April 12th, 2104 at approximately 8:40 pm Police were called to the Peel St location after a verbal altercation had occurred between two drivers which escalated to a blue Nissan SUV being pushed into a nearby field by a red 1997 Dodge pickup truck which then fled the scene.
The truck returned to area a short time later and almost struck a bystander who was standing on the nearby shoulder. A brief conversation then ensued between the bystander and truck driver, with it then fleeing the area again.
As a result of information received, Police attended a Main St, Jarvis address where they located the vehicle driver.
Charged with Impaired Driving, Driving with over the legal limit of alcohol, 2 counts of Dangerous Driving of a motor vehicle, and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm is 35 year old David LECOMPTE of Haldimand County, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
