(TYENDINAGA) – On Friday, November 7, 2014 at approximately 11:48PM, Tyendinaga Police responded to a complaint of impaired driving on Highway 49 in the Territory of Tyendinaga.
Police located the vehicle in a gas station parking lot and it immediately evaded, fleeing along Highway 49. The male driver dumped his vehicle behind a residence in Tyendinaga Territory and took off on foot into a wooded area.
The OPP Canine Unit attended to assist and successfully located the suspect hiding in a culvert.
David Joseph BOLTON, 32, of Tyendinaga Territory was wanted on outstanding Warrants issued by the Tyendinaga Police, the Central Hastings OPP and on a Bench Warrant issued by the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
He has been additionally charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police and Failing to Provide a Breath Sample.
He was held in custody to appear for a bail hearing inthe Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on November 12, 2014.
