(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On July 11, 2016, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a Municipality of Grey Highlands man after he was found breaching a court order where he was to remain in his residence and not to possess or consume alcohol.
At approximately 7:17 a.m., police observed the known male walking on the shoulder of Grey Road 4 west of 35 Sideroad in the Municipality of Grey Highlands carrying what appeared to be a can of beer. Upon seeing the officer, the male had fled into the ditch, discarding the can, before returning to the cruiser which had stopped. It was determined that he had been consuming alcohol.
43-year old Ian David HARGRAVE was charged with two counts of failing to comply with recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody pending a video bail scheduled for July 19, 2016.
