David CAYGILL – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM, ON) On Wednesday, May 25th, 2016, around 9:30 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on general patrol eastbound on Highway 401 near Mull Road, when he observed a blue Ford F150 pick-up truck committing a traffic violation.

The vehicle was stopped and upon further investigation, the male driver, David CAYGILL, 48-year-old of Newport, Michigan, was charged with drive motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and drive motor vehicle while using a hand held device.

The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 17th, 2016 to answer to the charges.

Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) want to remind the public that as the weather starts getting warmer more traffic will be appearing on our roadways. The OPP will actively monitor the “Big 4” driving behaviours; impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, and seatbelt usage.
